Cute and interesting, I like it. But I reached the end and failed and don't want to do it all over again
A downloadable game for Linux
In the far future, society finds itself at the cusp of technological revolution.
But before it can achieve it, that society finds itself under the watchful gaze of intergalactic enforcers known as The Outer Federation.
The Outer Federation is tasked with analyzing budding civilizations and determining their worth.
And so, The Outer Federation places an impossible task unto you:
Raise the GIVER to its full potential to determine the fate of your planet.
If successful, your planet may be extended an invite to The Outer Federation.
..If you fail, your planet will suffer complete annihilation.
Can you keep your planet alive?
Inspired by Tamagotchi and the Princess Maker series, this game functions as a life simulation for raising an Alien known as the GIVER to adulthood.
In this game, you choose a schedule for your GIVER on a monthly basis and watch it execute!
Choose what jobs your GIVER will take and what your GIVER will do with the money.
Don't forget to let your GIVER rest from time to time!
As the game progresses, you will unravel more lore behind the world the story takes place in..
And even a little bit about the special GIVER unit assigned to you.
Can you see all 7 endings?
macOS users: Due to the tight time window for jam submissions, this application has not been signed with an Apple-approved Developer ID or notarized, and may cause a Gatekeeper alert to block you when you attempt to run it. To bypass this dialog box, right-click on the application and choose Open.
Linux/other OS users: if you have a copy of the LOVE 11.3 runtime installed, you can run our game by opening the .love file.

I"m on OSX Mojave 10.14.6 and I got this message:
“Machine Learning.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.
Does this occur even if you right click on the game and choose Open? As mentioned above in the download instructions, there wasn’t enough time in the submission window to notarize or sign the binary with an Apple-approved Developer ID, and this may cause your Mac to reject the game as untrusted unless you bypass it by explicitly opening it from the right click menu.
I see... But it also happens by right clicking > Open :(
Hmm, weird. I’ll try to get a build of the game up over the weekend with all the Gatekeeper stuff in it.
Alright! I'll let you know if it's working or not :)
Just to let you know, I have not forgotten about this but my Internet has been going up and down repeatedly all weekend and I haven’t been able to get through the entire process yet. I will reply to your comment once I can get a build up. Very sorry about this.
I’m currently stuck in an Apple support queue because I can’t access the control panel I need to to sign this binary. Modern Apple development can be such a pain…
In the meantime, I will do everything I can to get you a build that works for you, but can we switch this conversation to email? Message me at kirbykirbykirby at the google mail service and I’ll directly send you builds to test.
I’m deeply sorry about all of this!
Another LOVE2D game! There are dozens of us, DOZENS!
